It's been quite a while since I've published anything on The Bookworm Speaks! For those who have followed this blog over the years, you might remember that I originally created it to share my love of reading, books, short stories, and creative writing. What started as a little blogging adventure eventually accumulated more than 22,000 page views! That's quite a surprise and a wonderful reminder that people have stumbled upon my little corner of the internet over the years.
Although I haven't been particularly active on this blog in recent years, my love of reading hasn't gone anywhere. However, my creative interests have continued to evolve, and I've found myself pursuing another passion: poetry!
A New Creative Outlet: Poetry Love for Life
Over the years, I've experimented with different forms of creative writing, but poetry has increasingly become an important part of my creative journey. From imaginative storytelling and whimsical rhymes to poems inspired by personal experiences, family, nature, and even scientific discoveries, I've enjoyed exploring the many possibilities that poetry offers.
I've also started participating in poetry contests on the Poetry Soup website. It's been a fun way to challenge myself, experiment with different poetic forms, and share my writing with other poetry enthusiasts. Along the way, I've even received some recognition for my work, which has been incredibly rewarding!
Eventually, I decided that my poetry deserved a dedicated home of its own. Thus, Poetry Love for Life was born!
I created this new blog over Memorial Day weekend in 2026 as a place to showcase my original poetry, share some of my creative inspirations, and occasionally feature illustrations accompanying my poems. I've also enjoyed experimenting with AI-generated artwork to bring some of my poetic ideas to life.

Turning the Page, Without Closing the Book
Although I've started a new blog dedicated to poetry, that doesn't mean I've turned my back on books or my original blogging adventure. I still consider myself a bookworm at heart! Reading and writing are simply two sides of the same creative coin, and I enjoy having opportunities to explore both.
Perhaps The Bookworm Speaks will see a few more updates along the way. In the meantime, I hope you'll join me on this new poetry pursuit and discover some of the creative adventures I've been enjoying.
